Fieldbus device integration

GSD (device data) files are text files which are required to configure a PROFIBUS^® network. For each device with a PROFIBUS^® interface there exists one definitive GSD file, which is identified by an unique ident number assigned by PROFIBUS^® International (PI).

Endress+Hauser has integrated field devices with HART^® and with PROFIBUS^® protocol into the SIEMENS SIMATIC Process Device Manager (PDM) software.

All available device drivers for PDM are tested and released in version 6.0 SP1.

Endress+Hauser FOUNDATION fieldbus™ and HART^® devices can be safely operated from the Asset Management Software AMS.

FieldCare - Endress+Hauser's FDT based Plant Asset Management Tool - can communicate via DTMs across fieldbuses (FOUNDATION Fieldbus™, HART^®, PROFIBUS^®) with each device. All configuration and communication information is carried in Device Type Management (DTM) programs (DeviceDTMs and CommDTMs), which are available for field devices and communication equipment.

iDTM-HART (interpreter Device Type Manager) is a component of FieldCare.

iDTM-HART interprets HART^®-DDs/EDDs and allows the integration of HART^® devices in FieldCare which have no appropriate DTM.

Yokogawa Plant Ressource Manager (PRM) supports Fieldbus Foundation™ and HART^® Communication.

PRM uses for FOUNDATION fieldbus™ the Device Disciption file (DD), for HART^® it supports the HART^® Foundation Device Disciption file. These DDs will be in the PRM Product Software package.
