A solid solution in inventory monitoring

Ardagh Glass required a system to provide accurate and reliable content measurement on glass cullet storage bins - typically a difficult level measurement application. The system was to improve accuracy, facilitate remote monitoring and increase plant yield where possible through improved process control. As a full-range solution provider, Endress+Hauser was contacted to devise a complete level monitoring system.

Flow Measurement Solutions for Custody Transfer

The loading and off loading of crude oil at Preemraff refinery in Sweden requires detailed information on quantities and mass due to the large transfer and high value involved. Consequently, a decrease in the uncertainty of only 0.1% results in huge savings and a short pay back time. Replacing the old Turbine meters, Endress+Hauser Promass Coriolis mass flow meters allow these benefits to be reached by increasing the accuracy in the measurement.

With a choice of ceramic or polysilicon capacitive sensors, Cerabar S pressure transmitters from Endress+Hauser, Greenwood, Indiana, handle a wide range of pressures and environments. Ceramic diaphragms withstand extremely corrosive and abrasive conditions from full vacuum up to 600 psi, while the touch polysilicon sensors measure up to 6000 psi.

Endress+Hauser keeps on growing 
 
2006 was another outstanding year of growth for Endress+Hauser. The group of companies, headquartered in Reinach, Switzerland, generated 985.2 million euros in net sales, 11.3 percent above the year before. Profit before taxes rose by 20.3 percent to 121.3 million euros. Record investments of 79.4 million euros (plus 26.5 percent) and 453 new jobs reflect this strong growth. At the end of last year, Endress+Hauser employed 7,045 people worldwide.

Endress+Hauser makes record investments

 
The Endress+Hauser Group is massively reinforcing and expanding its world-wide network for sales, service and production. In 2006 the corporation invested 79.4 mil­lion euros in buildings and plants, 16.7 million euros more than in the previous year - a record in the 54 years of the company's history. For 2007 Endress+Hauser is planning to hit the 106 million euro mark.

Endress+Hauser presents its new issue of the company magazine 'changes' 
 
This year, 'changes' focuses on the countries in Southeast Asia, trying to fathom the economic success of the so-called 'tiger states' Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. And like every year, the magazine gives its readers an insight into the moving and lively world of Endress+Hauser. This includes the (success) story of the Swiss sensor maker IST, part of the Endress+Hauser Group since 2005 and the work of the Youth Electronics Centers inaugurated by Endress+Hauser.

A marketplace full of ideas

 

On Friday, 11 May 2007, over 200 inventors from the entire Endress+ Hauser Group gathered at the '2007 Innovators' Meeting' in the new 'Sternenhof' building in Reinach. The reason for their celebration - 179 new patent applications which were first submitted for patent last year.

Competence in renewable fuels

Lead-free Pioneers

Endress+Hauser bans harmful heavy metal from its electronic components

Endress+Hauser is leaving the 'Lead Age' behind. The company has banished the toxic heavy metal from all its electronic components - voluntarily implementing a new directive of the European Union. This means a saving of one and a half tons of lead every year. Klaus Endress, CEO of the worldwide group, is pleased to announce, "We are facing up to our responsibilities as a company and reducing the burden on the environment”.
