New China logistics hub in Suzhou

Logistics hub uses modern methods for smooth goods transport

Publication date: 29.04.2021

Plant availability is a crucial aspect in the ability to manufacture competitively. For a global company such as Endress+Hauser, smoothly operating supply chains are thus important. In order to quickly and reliably supply operators of process engineering plants and laboratories with instrumentation and other materials, the Endress+Hauser Group opened a modern product distribution center in the Chinese city of Suzhou.

The 5,000-square-meter, high-bay warehouse will supply domestic customers in China but has enough capacity to supply material to overseas production and sales centers in future. Among other features, a modern warehouse management system that continually monitors the inventory and provides notifications ensures a highly efficient order and delivery process. Standard workflows, services such as tracking & tracing, as well as continuous performance monitoring provide a smooth delivery process.

"Customers benefit from full transparency during the delivery process and can monitor the status of their order at any time," says Arthur Zhang, Managing Director of Endress+Hauser in China.

“In light of the continued growing significance of the Chinese market for the Endress+Hauser Group, the opening of the new China logistics hub is an important factor in strengthening our global supply chain network,” says Oliver Blum, Corporate Director Supply Chain of the Endress+Hauser Group. The facility, operated by the SF Group, includes an open and closed customs warehouse area, as well as warehouse space within the free trade zone of the Suzhou Industrial Park.
